Learning Design – LIHI/WWU Mentoring Project

As a work-from-home Learning Designer, Content Developer, and Project Manager for the Western Washington University/LIHI Mentoring Project, Marc created the program’s online training in the Canvas LMS, including all program content. As Special Project manager, Marc oversaw all aspects of this online training program and was responsible for budget, curriculum design, evaluation, course improvement, and online training. The program trained diverse college students to then train LIHI housing residents, and successfully matriculated 20 learners in a 2-year period. Marc designed this course for the Munro Institute, Seminar on Washington State Politics and Government, at Western Washington University for the Political Science Department. The course technically was Political Science 360, a seminar-based discussion course with the topic being ‘Government and Media”. The Canvas online component provided the students’ background information, and provided online discussion forums.
